Do I support Public Broadband?

Not only do I support broadband, but I also have an excellent way of doing it for cheap while building community. I’m a member of MassMesh. MassMesh is building the tools to enable neighborhood mesh network. I would push for a $50,000-$100,000 to be dedicated to the establishment of mesh networks within Cambridge. This first investment would help the MassMesh team complete its work, allow for others to contribute (it is open-source), and engage neighborhoods, so they adopt a mesh for a testing period, and then as their main internet provider.   Be gone Comcast.

The great thing about MassMesh is that the team is building security and privacy in the firmware. So not only are we enabling public broadband, but it will be secure and private! Check it out MassMesh.org.
